Brian is leaving on Tuesday for a 3 week photo safari in Kenya, but he took some time out from packing to write about one of his interviews from ASH 2015 with Dr. Rick Furman. They discussed the new prognostic factors and MRD negativity in CLL. The summary and video of their interview is posted in our 2015 Conference Coverage section. You can see it here.
If you were on vacation during these first weeks of July, we’d like to call your attention to our quarterly newsletter The CLL Tribune and also request that you take 5 minutes to answer our latest short Reader Poll about what you look for in your CLL physicians. You can access it here. It really helps. Many thanks to the 166 folks who have already done so! We will share the results in the next issue of the newsletter.
From time to time, we will make you aware of in-person meetings coming up for those of us affected by CLL, specificallly:
- September 21st at 6 PM at the New York Marriott East Side in New York City: The Lymphoma Research Foundation will be hosting Updates on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia / Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma as part of their Ask the Doctor series. Rick Furman from New York Presbyterian – Weill Cornell Medical (also part of the CLL Society Medical Advisory Board) is the featured speaker. You can find out more information and register here. Dinner will be served and there is no charge to attend.
In the meantime….
We are all in this together.
