ASH 2017: Atlanta Professor Michael Hallek on MRD Negativity in CLL
Snowy Atlanta from our hotel window
It was a long first day, with all the oral presentations, CLL related poster abstracts, interviews, a video shoot, and meeting with other advocates at ASH (American Society of Hematology) 2017 Annual Meeting and Exposition in snowy and cold Atlanta Georgia.
Atlanta is not equipped for snow, so flights were delayed, buses and Ubers and cabs stopped running, and the sidewalks were icy. We walked and took the rail system and it all was good.
Most of today’s chronic lymphocytic leukemia sessions covered the science behind the logic combinations of drugs such as ibrutinib and venetoclax and the mechanisms of drug resistance, especially to venetoclax.
Details to follow.
