The World’s Leading Authority for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia Patients

Day + 18/ Part II CAR-T for CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) Anti-inflammatories save the day!

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

What a difference a few hours can make: A dose of dexamethasone and a dose of tocilizumab put the brakes on a few CAR-Ts and calmed down the inflammation. BK is getting up and about… hoping to be discharged on Wednesday.

This degree and severity of joint inflammation have never been described before in CAR-T therapy. There is probably an important research benefit here that Brian, even while sick, is pushing to get published. Patty

You’re not supposed to look handsome after ALL of that excitement!!!
My husband and I met you and Patty in Charlotte several years ago and continue to follow your discoveries and experiences. During that CLL Society meeting, we were reconnected with Dr. Ghosh and began the Ibrutinib/venetoclax trial last July at Levine👍.
Keep up the good work…we are “watching “ you!!!!!!
