Hello Friends,
Sometimes it’s good to review the basic science that helps ground all the amazing advances in CLL. This week Brian refers you to a BASICS article called What is a Lymph Node? https://cllsociety.org/2016/03/what-is-a-lymph-node/ that helps explain how the new medications such as ibrutinib and idelalisib work in CLL.
Also this week, we’re bringing you the latest learning opportunities and Support Group meetings through the end of this month.
Remember that September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month around the globe! Our fellow blood cancer charities are all working hard to raise awareness. Be sure to follow #FightBloodCancer!
Please support the CLL Society and others who help those with blood cancer live longer and stronger lives.
News
Abbvie recently announced that Minimal Residual Disease Negativity (MRD-) data is being added the venetoclax label, recognizing the growing importance of MRD in managing CLL.
