I don’t usually get to tell my full personal CLL story on the website and the story of the founding of the nonprofit CLL Society, but my friend and fellow advocate, Giora Sharf, a CML patient and co-founder of the CML Advocates Network, which connects more than 100 patient organizations in almost 80 countries asked about my personal and nonprofit journey and I was happy to share my tale.
When the CLL Society was starting up, Giora was one of our mentors and I am grateful for his friendship and example.
My personal update is that as of August 2019, I remain cancer free, more than 16 months since receiving my CAR-T cells.
Please enjoy the interview with me receiving rather than pitching the questions.
