The American Society of Hematology or ASH, the preeminent American professional organization of hematologists published on April 1, 2020 a FAQ for doctors treating CLL patient during the pandemic. This is directed at doctors and consists of a consensus from seven of the top CLL doctors in the world. Sadly, they would be the first to admit it is on based their learned opinion and not much data. The plan is that they will be updated regularly as new information is available. The CLL Society endorses these FAQ.
While the FAQ is meant for doctors, it can give you a sense of how the top CLL doctors are managing their patients in a medical crisis with such a paucity of evidence. [https://www.hematology.org/covid-19/covid-19-and-cll].
At the CLL Society, we are working with the same group of doctors and about 60 others to put together a consensus report on how CLL experts are treating their patients that we hope to publish soon to also help inform the medical community.
