I am a 63 year old male recently diagnosed CLL patient (01-14-20). I have no other health issues have only slightly elevated cholesterol in which I take 10mg of statin daily. I am in the watch and wait category currently with good blood work. I am negative CD38 and Zap70 . My WBC is 11.39 and RBC is 5.07. My question is how much am I at risk for COVID 19 ? So far, I have been extremely careful having groceries delivered and staying home.
All CLL patients are immune compromised to a greater or less extent, and have a higher chance of poor outcomes if they contract COVID-19. There is reason to suspect that those with more advanced disease or in active treatment are at higher risk, but there is no data as the case and there are a handful of published reports of poor outcomes in CLL patients like you who have never been treated.
Your best move is to not catch the virus.
