This content was current as of the date it was released. In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge.
For those like me – I have lived with stable CLL and required no treatment for 8 years – can you please advise of the risk of Covid and whether in fact those whose diagnosis has not needed intervention, are at a higher risk?
There are few data to answer this important question, but what we have sadly suggests that CLL itself is significant independent risk for worse outcomes with Covid-19 regardless of age or treatment status. We should know more soon and we will report on it on the website as several papers are researching these very issues.
We are all in this together.
