Vulnerable Americans are Desperate to Find this COVID-19 drug. Thousands of Boxes are Sitting Around Unused

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

This CNN article makes me sad and angry at the same time.

We are going through a needless tragedy that will only worsen since Congress elected not to fund any more Evusheld. As a result, the already inadequate supplies will dwindle even more.

The reporters raise the issue that our friend and CLL advocate Tom Henry would still be with us if he could have procured Evusheld.

CLL Society is building alliances and working hard to ensure that more COVID-19 prophylactic medications and therapies are available to the most vulnerable such as those of us with chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma.

Please sit down somewhere quiet and read this disheartening article about this hot mess with its resulting needless deaths and suffering. Expect, like me, to be angered and sadden by the news about the distribution of Evusheld.

Click to access CNN’s Vulnerable Americans are desperate to find this Covid-19 drug. Thousands of boxes are sitting around unused by Elizabeth Cohen and Danielle Herman. Yours truly is quoted along with several advocate friends.

Stay strong. We are all in this together.
