I began my nursing career in 2015 as a medical oncology nurse at Miami Valley Hospital before transitioning to The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University, where I worked as an acute leukemia nurse from 2015 to 2020. During this time, I gained extensive experience caring for patients with hematologic malignancies, including administering chemotherapy, managing blood transfusions, and supporting patients enrolled in clinical trials. In addition to my bedside responsibilities, I also served as a charge nurse, helping coordinate patient care and support the nursing team in a high-acuity oncology setting.

After earning my Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, I was selected for the highly competitive James Oncology and Acute Critical Care Fellowship Program for Advanced Practice Providers. During the fellowship, I trained across medical oncology, surgical oncology, and hematology oncology clinics. The rotation I loved the most was hematology oncology where I had the privilege to work in the CLL clinic.

I subsequently joined the CLL clinic team at The James Cancer Hospital, where I now practice as an advanced practice provider. In my current role, I perform comprehensive history and physical examinations, manage patients receiving active treatment, and care for individuals enrolled in clinical trials. I work closely with physicians to assess for disease progression and help guide treatment decisions, while also providing education to patients and families about CLL progression, available therapies, and ongoing research advancements.
