Recorded April 25, 2022
A diagnosis of CLL / SLL can feel like your body is attacking itself, so what can you do in defense? Health and wellness such as physical activity, eating nutritiously, supplements, and stress reduction are important activities to help strengthen your immune system and lower your risk of additional health issues or co-morbidities.
Join CLL Society and Dr. Andrea Sitlinger who will discuss the benefits of exercise on the immune system and her current research on the effects of high-intensity interval training with CLL patients. Dr. Gordon Saxe, a preventive and integrative medical specialist will discuss the many benefits of nutritious foods and supplements as well as mind-body stress reduction. CLL patient Glenn Sabin will share his own experience of how a radical change in lifestyle helped knock back his CLL into remission, while also clarifying his story applies to his case at the moment in time where the only option was chemoimmunotherapy, unlike today.
