CLL Society’s Official Statement Regarding Workplace Accommodations for People with CLL / SLL While There is Risk of COVID-19 Exposure (Update 2/6/2023)

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

As the risk of COVID-19 exposure stretches on, we have updated our official statement concerning working conditions for people with CLL / SLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma) that you can download for your own reference and to share with the appropriate people in your life including HR and co-workers.

Working indoors with unmasked coworkers especially in a space that might not easily allow for adequate social distancing or ventilation increases risks of contracting COVID-19, a well-documented more dangerous illness for those with CLL / SLL due to their compromised immunity.

Also the Job Accommodation Network has published this helpful blog post: THE ADA AND MANAGING REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION REQUESTS FROM EMPLOYEES WITH DISABILITIES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 in an effort to help best manage the special needs of vulnerable folks such as people living with CLL / SLL and other high risk conditions.
