NIH Home Test to Treat Program

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) has expanded their Home Test to Treat program, a virtual home health program that offers free COVID-19 and influenza (flu) health services including at-home “PCR quality” rapid tests, telehealth sessions and at-home treatments, to eligible participants nationwide.

Respiratory infections still pose a significant risk for CLL / SLL patients. Having free, high-quality tests for flu and COVID-19, access to telehealth medical advice, and if appropriate medication is a great service.

Eligibility for the Home Test to Treat program includes those on Medicare, Medicaid, in the VA healthcare system, receive care from Indian Health Services, or those who may be uninsured or underinsured.
