How long after an IgG infusion should I wait to receive my third (booster) shot of the Pfizer vaccine?

This content was current as of the date it was released. In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge.

Ask the Doctor Question:

Recent blood tests determined I did not produce any antibodies from the first two vaccine shots I received, the last of which was 3/11/2021. My recent IgG test was down to 382.  I am scheduled for an IgG infusion on 8/27/2021.  How long after this infusion should I wait to receive my third (booster) shot of the Pfizer vaccine?

Answer:  We double checked your answer with several other CLL specialists. The answer to your question is that it probably makes very little difference, but the general recommendation has been to wait 3-4 weeks after the infusion to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
