Bruce’s Story

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

I was diagnosed accidentally in 2001 during investigation of a single
swollen cervical node. My community oncologist at Maine Medical Center recommended chemo immediately.
A comprehensive second opinion from Dana Farber led to 15 years of asymptomatic watch and wait. In 2015 a
dramatic appearance of symptoms over 3 months led to 6 months on rituximab/bendemustine. I have been asymptomatic since.
