Ask the Doctor Question:

I was diagnosed with CLL in 2015 and on watch and wait, with good bloods. I am Stage A/0. I was a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in the NHS before having to retire due to chronic fatigue and frequent flu like symptoms. I have read that there is no strong evidence for fatigue in patients on W&W who are Stage A/0, and I have also heard the opposite that it’s very common for fatigue to be the most reported symptom in these patients, yet I can find little on the internet on this.

Answer: Please review the article that was written on CLL-related fatigue which includes some good information on this very topic located here:

Hopefully, that will answer your question. If you want to read even more things we have put together about fatigue, you can go to the search bar located at the top of our website and do a search so that all the articles that have been written about it will pop up. It is one of the most common complaints with CLL.
