Treatment Advances and Taking a Team Approach to CLL

In science and medicine, information is constantly changing and may become out-of-date as new data emerge. All articles and interviews are informational only, should never be considered medical advice, and should never be acted on without review with your health care team.

During the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2024 Annual Congress held in Madrid, Spain, CLL Society Chief Medical Officer Dr. Brian Koffman joined The American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) for a two-part interview. Dr. Koffman shared about the importance of taking a team approach to care management in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), as well as spoke to treatment advances that have occurred in recent years.

In the first part of his interview, Dr. Koffman explained what multidisciplinary care looks like in CLL and the many benefits it can have for patients living with this disease. His comments are reflective of the EHA session he helped lead, “Empowering Patient Journeys: A Collaborative Expedition into Treatments and Emerging Frontiers in CLL.”
